Drummond Cross
Muthill, Scotland
This design was taken from a cross found beside the ancient ruins of a church in
the little village of Muthill. The square tower and a double row of wonderful
arches are all that remain of the old church. The cross has no name, but as the
Drummond Castle with its magnificent formal gardens is just a short distance up
the road, we decided to call our design the Drummond Cross. The design is
typically Celtic with panels of interlaced knotwork, a symbol of everlasting
life.
