This cross is a small replica of the ten foot McHarp cross that is placed on the campus of the Union Presbyterian Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina front of the seminary building. The knotwork designs were inspired by those on ancient stone crosses that can be found in Scotland, Ireland and in the famous "Book of Kells". The knotwork represents our entanglements in the world and we are encouraged to release our entanglements to become one with God. The top large panel is Jesus giving the Holy Communion with a cup of wine and a loaf of bread. The lower panel is the baptism of Jesus with John the Baptist pointing to God in Heaven and the dove, the symbol the love and peace of God.

Due to the hand casting and proprietary staining process, each of my plaques is unique. Each cross comes with a hanger embedded in the stone. The cross comes with a descriptive tag describing the original stone, explanation of the design or information on where the cross is located.
